Shares, Docker service & VMs are not working

Featured Replies

Hello community
Yesterday I built my own Unraid server. I have built multiple Unraid servers for my friends now, so I thought I at least know a little bit about what I am doing, but I have the feeling that something is wrong. I assigned the drives to the array as usual and Startet the array and the parity check. Everything seemed to be normal so far...

But I am not able to set up any shares because every time I want to create a new share it does not appear in the Shares tab in the Unraid GUI.
When I click on the docker tab it says: "Docker service failed to start"
and when I click on the VMs tab it says: "Libvirt Service failed to start"

I reinstalled Unraid several times now, and I still have these problems. I even tried older Versions of Unraid.
Does anybody have a clue what I am doing wrong? I feel like it might be a problem in the Bios settings or the hardware.

I turned on SVM mode btw.

Thanks for helping me out.

Make sure the disks are formatted, if it's not that please post the diagnostics.

I looked up the settings for the Docker tab and found this:

docker fertig.PNG

Hmm, check if the USB-stick is ok and writable.

Thank you very very much. Formatting the array solved my problems 👍
