StreamToMe has released an OS X client. You install the server ServeToMe (Mac and PC) at home and will stream transcoded media to a remote client.

 

I've looking for a nice easy to use streamer that does transcoding and has an OS X client for the times that I'm on the road. Been using Plex, but as it does not transcode, been limited to what my pitiful up bandwidth could support.

 

No fancy meta data support, but given that its a free solution and it just works I can't really complain.  ;D

    3. Adjust your preference.
