DoeBoye
I just got my new UPS delivered yesterday, and noticed the literature mentions the hardware supplied only supports a 2post rack mount. I just assembled my new rack last night (my first foray into this new world), but it seems to me that there are 4 places where the ups needs to be bolted in... UPS http://www.apc.com/products/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=SC1000 Rack https://ca.startech.com/product/4POSTRACK12A-12U-4-Post-Server-Equipment-Open-Frame-Rack-with-Adjustable-Posts-and-Casters The APC manual mentions an optional 4-post mounting kit that needs to be purchased, which is a bit irritating, to say the least... . Does anyone have a suggestion for a cheaper way to mount this UPS in the rack other then the APC kit? Maybe generic ebay rack hardware that would work with this UPS? Thanks for any advice! EDIT: The UPS does come with a 2-post rack mounting solution... Quote Link to comment
DoeBoye
Perhaps I should re-word the question: Do I need to purchase the $60 APC 4-post mount kit, or will any generic rails etc. work with this unit? Thanks! DB Quote Link to comment
