(SOLVED) Server asks for log in as soon as browser window is closed (but browser is still running)

Featured Replies

Running 6.9.2.

I noticed that when I close my browser window (Chrome) open another one and go to my server, I need to relog into the server. Also tested with firefox.

As far as I know, this is not intended behaviour. This just started up today if my memory is correct.

I have attached diagnostics.

The login credentials are held by a session cookie, so if you close your browser (or even the tab) and then re-open it you will be asked to re-login.

Perhaps my memory is wrong then. Thanks for the clarification.

Squid is correct, but I've just rebooted my laptop (MacBook Pro), updated to a new version of Firefox, opened a browser window and automatically logged into my Unraid server. I have, of course, previously told Firefox to remember my credentials and log me in automatically. Maybe that's what you're remembering.

Most of the time, if I open a new tab (while having logged in 2 minutes prior in another tab), I still need to relog for some reason. Might be some changes that Google has done perhaps? (Wasn't like this until a couple of days ago) (Chrome v91)
