Seeing new activity - but not all forums?

Would like to be able to quickly see new activity, but either select certain forums or at least block some.  I don't want to see any posts for example in other languages because I can't understand them, so scrolling past them in the new activity feed is annoying.

    Chrome (Android)
    1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
    2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
    3. Adjust your preference.
    Chrome (Desktop)
    1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
    2. Select Site settings.
    3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
