On a semi-related note, roughly how fast is the transfer rate from the cache drive to the data drive? Roughly the same rate as writing directly to the protected array. Typically, somewhere between 20 and 40 MB/s depending on your hardware. An open file will never be moved, so the mover will not move anything being written until the writing has stopped and the mover process invoked again.
March 11, 201115 yr I was doing this last night without any issues, is slightly slower writing to the drive if the mover script is running but other than that no issues.
