Replace Parity drive

Featured Replies

I have an unraid with a 4TB parity drive and a 4TB data drive. The data drive failed. The parity drive could not rebuild the data drive. Doing a bit by bit image, showed that so sectors were struggling to read. I was able to read all the struggling sectors. When I use the Image drive in unraid. The serial number doesnt match, so throws errors when you try to do anything. Is there a way to change what the unraid is expecting as the model/serial number of the parity drive. This is not a .img file of the drive. It is an exact copy of the drive with the difficult sectors read correctly using a DDI machine.

Thanks

Are there any other data drives? Or 2 drives, 1 data 1 parity only?

You can do a new config, then check "parity is already valid" before array start and run a parity check.
