Just for now or is it not recommended ?

 

How would I even go about expanding space with multiple drives on a laptop ? Is there any hard drive enclosure I can buy? Not a prebuilt NAS. Like a case for 2 minimum SATA Hard Drives ? That would plug into the laptop by usb unless that is not worth it?

    Unless you can figure out a way to get a SAS external connector in the laptop, and I don't know of any, there really is no good way to do multiple drives. USB doesn't work consistently with a parity array.

     

    Some laptops have an eSATA port that would be good for 1 more drive.
