So I have 6 500gb SSDs, and 44 4TB SAS drives.  (For those keeping score) I currently have a 72TB unraid nas with 3.5" drives. (which is almost full).  I want to migrate to the new hardware, The problem is you can't have more then 30 drives in an array. Is there away to get around this, that anyone has discovered?   I have already flashed the controller to IT mode and it works fine, I just would like to use the rest of my drives. Since I have 2 of the R720xd's I could run two of them undependably, though I would prefer to cluster or sync them. I have 10gb cards in them and have UniFi 10gb switchs.

This will be used for serving Media to my Theater Room / running a few dockers / and a few VMs.

Thanks for any suggestions / thoughts.

In addition to the main array, you can have up to 35 named pools, each with up to 30 disks.
