Upgrading to latest stable from Unraid Nvidia

Featured Replies

I've been tuned out because my system has been running strong.  Out of site out of mind.  So I noticed yesterday that my Plex was no longer doing hardware transcoding (Quadro P2000).  Come to find out, the Unraid Nvidia version I'm running is no longer being supported.  So I'm preparing to upgrade.

My question is simple.  Should I just upgrade via the Tools tab to the latest stable version, or is it more complicated coming from the Unraid Nvidia version?

This reddit thread is why I'm wondering if it's more complicated than just updating through the Tools tab.

Simply upgrade via Tools > Upgrade OS and then install the Nvidia Driver plugin on next boot, probably best to disable array autostart until your up and running.

Here's the support thread that has a great walk though on the (driver) install process and some common issues.
