cant get cpu pinning to work VM has 4 cores set but VM only sees 1

i having troubles  getting a Windows 10VM  to see the 4 cores i pinned to it...  i find my VM was slow as heck

and i find its only getting 1 core  or is that a half a core..

but shes slower the mollasses 

and ive done the reboots prior    but did i do something wrong? somewhere else?  and i remember when i didnt have CPU pinning set  things seemed faster...

 

 

update:

i did a reboot again and the VM windows sees 8 cores guessing its the 4 cores plus 4 threads?   but its still slow as mollases  tried to play an audio file and the audio is slowly and stuttery   loading windows slow and stuttery..  when trying to do something  mollases

 

and its on a Gen3 1TB nvme   3500/3000   so shouldnt be slow

 

anything i can do?

 

i also tried settings all the cores  to the 3. Windows VM

so the 4  plus the 2  that are pinned for the Unraid.. still choppy  and the last 2 cores are still 0 percent  

its like the VMS arent using those cores just the first one when i set it to the 4
