June 26, 20215 yr Hello I am writing from an array HDD to an external HDD on a device via a PC. (UNRAID > Win10 > NAS) The UNRAID has a 10gbs port and the switch is 1gbs. Between the UNRAID and the switch downstairs (which NAS and PC) - I use (as a temporary measure in rented accommodation) a TP-link (fairly new) powerline adapter. Normally I have wrote to the UNRAID device to a SSD cache and speeds are fast. For the first time I am now using my UNRAID to copy data via windows (large files 20GB+) and it seems painfully slow. The question I have is - reading data 10MBs straight from an array HDD - is this roughly a normal speed to be expected? Edited June 26, 20215 yr by SmokeyColes
June 26, 20215 yr Author I have restarted; and am still gettinf the same 11MB/s I have been reading - that I should be expecting to see 80MB/s Please can you suggest what is going wrong? haccnas-diagnostics-20210626-2113.zip Edited June 26, 20215 yr by SmokeyColes
June 26, 20215 yr Author Ok so its the powerline adaptors slowing the network from 1gb to 100mb I have restarted everything - no joy. Is it possible to use the WD creator https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/W480 Creator/index.asp onboard wifi?? It doesn't show in UNRAID? Thanks Chris
