[SOLVED] unraid won't boot after config change

Featured Replies

Hello. I was setting up my server to have a Static IP address instead of DCHP. I entered my settings under "Network settings" and clicked "apply". Once I did that, I didn't receive a response from the server. I waited a few minutes to see if something would happen, but alas, nothing. I attempted to return to the Main page but still no response. Eventually, I restarted the machine only to see that unraid wouldn't boot at all! I plugged the flash into my PC and the files seem OK! Is there something I did wrong here? I would like to know! :(

Any help would be appreciated!

One other thing I forgot to mention: I was formatting my parity disk while I was changing my network settings. Perhaps doing this is what caused it?  ???

Did you try the new IP address?

parity disks are never formatted. They have no file system.

Hello, thanks for the replies, but I have figured out what I was doing wrong. In my bios, I had "Boot Other Device" disabled. I turned it on and voila, I can get into my server now!

Oh, of course, I meant as I was syncing it up. I was in a rush, so forgive me! :P
