June 30, 20215 yr So, I am only using 18 of my 24 bays. What is everyone using to block off the unused slots. My drives where getting hot until I put tape on the outside to stop the air from using the unused slots. Looking for something a little more permanent. I do not want to my the Supermicro blanks for $10 to $15 each.
July 13, 20214 yr I used soft dummy HDDs, cut from foam mat. You can order them online, cut to order....you can then insert these in the drive trays. I found it here, in a German forum...material is (PUR RG50, 2.5x10.0x14.5cm): link
