Jurak
As soon as I start parity check, the web ui becomes faulty and the array becomes undefined. I was able to get it to stop (it only ran for about a minute and this started) and I will attach the diagnostics file. Any help would be appreciated. Again this only happens when parity check starts. As soon as I stop it everything is normal again. plexserver-diagnostics-20210702-0918.zip Quote Link to comment
trurl
Are you sure you have enough power for all those disks? Parity check spins them all up Quote Link to comment

Parity check spins them all up Yes I have had this set up for almost a year now with no issues till a couple days ago when this started. I have it set up to run parity once a month at the beginning of the month. Quote Link to comment

Jurak
Its a 1000watt power supply and no hardware changes in many months. Quote Link to comment

Jurak
So is there any thing in the diagnostics that i uploaded that would point to anything software or hardware related so i can narrow this down? No there is no software related things that i have changed lately. Quote Link to comment
trurl
Do you know why you had unclean shutdown? Jul 2 00:46:10 PlexServer emhttpd: unclean shutdown detected Then it appears to have corrected a few sync errors on the resulting parity check Jul 2 00:49:54 PlexServer kernel: mdcmd (43): check Jul 2 00:49:54 PlexServer kernel: md: recovery thread: check P ... Jul 2 00:49:54 PlexServer kernel: md: recovery thread: P corrected, sector=0 Jul 2 00:49:54 PlexServer kernel: md: recovery thread: P corrected, sector=8 Jul 2 00:49:54 PlexServer kernel: md: recovery thread: P corrected, sector=16 (which should have been non-correcting). Don't know if that is related to the plugin or not parity.check.tuning.plg - 2021.06.15 Quote Link to comment
Jurak
Yes i have had a couple since this started. The web gui become faulty to the point that i cant do anything. The array become non responsive. But i think i have fixed it. It looks like the USB that UnRaid lives on become corrupt. Once I created a new OS USB everything is now working Fine so far. It has been 12 hours since have done that and the parity is running and the array is running fine. So far. Edited July 3, 2021 by Jurak Quote Link to comment
trurl
USB2 port is more reliable for the Unraid boot device and no advantage to USB3 speed for this. Quote Link to comment
