March 15, 201115 yr I need help! I upgraded my unRaid box motherboard this evening and now 3 of my 5 drives are missing??? They show up fine during post and in the BIOS unRaid just doesn't see them. I am running 5.0b3
March 15, 201115 yr Author Here is a Syslog from the last time I booted the box, maybe it will shed some light on the issue. syslog-2011-03-15.txt
March 16, 201115 yr Author After playing around with the server I noticed in unMenu that the drives that were missing were showing up under "drives not in array" So i deleted the super.dat file re added the drives in the correct order they should be in. It I hit start array will everything be ok or will it wipe all my data on the drives and start over?
March 16, 201115 yr All that you needed to do is assign the missing drives, but now that you've removed the super.dat and re-assigned all the drives the array should just start. It should say nothing about clearing drives in the description adjacent to the "Start" button. All the drives should show as "blue" If you have any doubts, un-assign the parity drive. Bring the array on-line without it, make sure all is as expected, then stop the array, assign it, and start the array to let unRAID calculate parity. Joe L.
