Is WebDAV doable on unRaid?

Featured Replies

When I searched for WebDAV I only found a few requests from years ago, nothing recent or where anyone has had success with it.  Has anyone managed to get WebDAV running on unRaid?  I don't know much about it (other than that I have read it is often part of Apache) but I just picked up a second Mac today and have noticed that many Mac apps support syncing over WebDAV so I thought it would be useful to get it up and running on my unRaid box if possible.

If not I would think my next best option would be to install WebDAV on my Mac that stays at home and point it at unRaid for storage.  Any other ideas?

Did you find any answers?

I know several other devices such as iomega and synology do webdav. Some routers also allow you to host USB Hard drives on them. Not sure if they have webdav. I'll have to look at my setup with DDWRT.

I do not like the idea of putting unraid accessible through the web. I do not believe it is secure enough for that. I would always place a third party between my internet and "safe unraid storage".
