Passthrough / Access Internal sites from Outside

Featured Replies

I now have about 15 docker containers and a few VMs running on various different ports  and IPs.  I am using Heimdall (and might switch to Muximux) to access all of the sites locally which is fantastic.  The only problem I have is that I’d like to access these containers from the outside without having to port forward each container.  Right now, when I try to access these containers through Heimdall or Muximux from outside of my network, I get a 404 because it’s trying to access a local IP that isn’t there.  So, Is there a web tool like Heimdall or Muximux that would serve up the internal site to an external request allowing me to access all containers through a single source (Muximux or Heimdall-like web interface).

I would highly suggest using a VPN solution. No need to place internal management type devices on the internet...

However, if you really want to access each containers URL externally, you will want to use a proxy type solution e.g., NGINX Proxy Manager, SWAG, etc.
