July 6, 20214 yr My router recently had some big issues, so I was forced to factory reset it. In doing so, it seems that I have made my unRAID server very unhappy. I have followed some other topics on this issue, but none of those solutions have aided me in getting this thing back online. I have connected directly to the unRAID server and deleted /boot/config/network.cfg and /boot/config/network-rules.cfg and tried restarting. When I do this, I just get a 169 address, which I believe is due to it not getting a DHCP address from my router. Strangely enough, I don't ever see my server show up in my DHCP client list on my router. Attached is my diagnostics after deleting the aforementioned files and restarting the server. Any and all help is appreciated. My router is the Ubiquiti Unifi Dream Machine Pro (which I have seen someone else with same issue and router). Not sure if that is helpful at all. tower-diagnostics-20210706-0113.zip
July 6, 20214 yr Author I don't think the port is bad (using that port for a different machine now), but I did solve the issue. Steps I followed for anyone else having trouble Shutdown server Remove flash drive with unRAID Connect flash drive to another PC, delete network.cfg, network-rules.cfg Change port on router that ethernet is connected to Power on server again (with unRAID drive) At this point, I had an IP address assigned from my router's DHCP Went into router and set static IP for my server On server ran command /sbin/reboot Now things work
