Help with maybe a dying Hard Drive!

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've got an Unraid server that has been working good for a few months now. However I just saw that one of the Hard Drives is getting errors and now is having its content emulated to keep the system up. What do I do? Do I just have to replace the drive, can I run a program to check its health?

Unraid itself says the drive is Healthy however I will post the SMART Report here for those who are smarter to take a look and help a newcomer out.

I only use my server for PLEX since I really don't know what else I can use it for.

Go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread.

Disk dropped offline so there's no SMART report, but looks like a controllers problem there are ATA errors in multiple disks, that Asmedia controller is just a 2 port controller with SATA port multipliers and they are known to have issues with Unraid/Linux, you should replace it with a recommended controller.

I literally can not thank you enough for helping out! I will definitely move to one of those as I change my case! Thanks again for the help!
