Windows 10 Running on Dedicated MP600

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I Im busy building a new PC to replace my nas, primary pc, and server running my vms. Im very new to Unraid so looking for some advice please.

Im looking on getting the following:

Intel Core i9 11900

64GB Ram

Corsair MP600

Corsair MP510

6x 4TB 2.5 inch hard drives.

Graphics card (still researching this)

Id like to do the following:

Run Windows 10 dedicated off of the MP600

Run Windows 10 dedicated off the graphics card

Run My other one or two VMS and docker off of my MP510

Run a NAS with one drive as parity with the 6x 4TBs

I plan to run the MP600 PCIe 4

I plan to run the MP510 PCIe 3

Essentially I want the MP600 to be dedicated to the Windows 10 so that it can utilize the maximum throughput of the MP600

Run all my VMS and Docker apps on the dedicated MP510

Im not really worried about either the MP600 or MP510 failing as I will back up all the vms and configs to an external, heck I generally rebuild my PC ever 6 months or so anyways.

The VMs on the MP510 will be one dev machine for playing about, Docker with Plex, Sonarr etc so nothing serious to rebuild.

Hope this sounds about right

Thoughts and suggestions welcome.

Many Thanks
