No IP address after reboot and interfaces showing shutdown

Featured Replies

Every time i reboot my Unraid server it boots with no IP address. When i boot into GUI mode the network settings page reports that my interfaces are in a shutdown state although the lights on both interfaces on the switch are lit and flashing away.

To fix the issue i stop the Docker daemon, select 802.3ad on the bonding mode of the primary interface of the bond and click apply. Unraid then reports the interfaces as up and i have network connectivity restored.

I have a dual port Intel 10Gb NIC. Both links are connected to my switch running 802.3ad. The interfaces are reported as eth4 and eth5 in Unraid and the bond is shown as Bond5. This is configured on the switch as well and the 802.3ad link comes up successfully after doing the above and both links are members of the bond.

When the server boots i see log messages stating br5 is set to down and the server reports no IPv4 address (It is set statically).

I have tried without using 802.3ad but i have the same issue with the interfaces reporting as shutdown in the GUI and the no IP address message on screen after booting.

Thanks
