[SOLVED] My Servers Plugin No Remote Access

I am attempting to set up remote access for my unRAID server through the My Servers plugin. I have an existing reverse proxy network enabled for nextcloud, so I set my Management Access page to look like this:

 

 

Ports are forwarded, but I cannot use port 443 as the HTTPS port due to my reverse proxy network and my router refusing to forward the port (even though port 443 is not currently open inside the network). The server shows as "local access" but no combination of ports or forwarding will allow me to achieve remote access. What am I doing wrong?

 

EDIT: I discovered the problem. I was visiting https://forums.unraid.net/my-servers/ while on the same network as my server, so it only showed "local access". When I visited the site from a separate network, I was able to use remote access.

I am running Nginx proxy manager (to access Nextcloud) on port 5180 and 51443

I don't understand, if I'm redirecting my router's 443/TCP port to 192.168.X.X:51443 for the sake of Nginx and Nextcloud's functioning, how would I be supposed to also redirect it to my server's 443 port to allow My Servers' remote access?

If I remember correctly, somewhere inside the server settings, you can change the port associated with the unRAID web panel and forward that port with your router. I’m not where I can check at the moment, but I know I connect to my web panel with a port that isn’t 443

Use a different WAN port, see https://wiki.unraid.net/My_Servers#Configuring_Remote_Access_.28optional.29

Thanks for your answers. My question was, I believe, a little ambiguous and more focused on the router-side of the configuration.

Unfortunately, after trying to setup My Servers, I saw that my server could only be accessed via the "https://yourhash.unraid.net" address, and as my network is sometimes disconnected from the internet, this functionality made the address impossible to resolve.

In short, if disconnected from the internet, my server's webui is unavalaible even from my LAN. I did not have time to find a workaround around this, so I reverted to my previous config, without My Servers enabled.

I will look further into it as soon as I can, and eventually make a dedicated topic.

In the meantime, I really wanted to thank you guys for your help!

Just to mention it - only the optional Remote Access feature of My Servers requires SSL for local access, and only if you are using Unraid 6.9.

 

Nothing else in My Servers needs you to setup SSL for local access.  For more information see:

just so you know you can add your domain to your hosts file and you will then be able to resolve the url when not online
