[SOLVED] How to reset my unRaid disk configuration

Featured Replies

Hello,

first of all hello to everyone as this is my first post on this forum.  :)

I have installed UnRaid for the first time today and made a first test with three disks and the free version of the software.

As I was convinced with the overall setup I have decided to upgrade to the paid version and add more disks (4 at the moment).

My problem is to "reset" my disk configuration. UnRaid is looking for me to put the disks in the exact same config as my initial test (for example having a 160Gb disk in the array where now I would like it to be used for the cache). If not I get the "Invalid Configuration" message.  >:(

How can I reset the configuration and restart from a blank page?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

First question: Which software version are you using?  I assume 4.7 rather than the version 5 beta?

Do you have screen and keyboard connected?  Or can you telnet into the machine?  If either, then you can run the command "initconfig".  This will clear the stored drive assignment and allow you to reassign the drives as you need.
