Unexpected reboot and MCE detected

Featured Replies

I got a ping on my phone that a parity check started, so I knew that for some reason the server rebooted itself. About 10 minutes later, got another ping that a Machine Check Event  was detected. Posting diagnostics here to hopefully get some insight as to what the issue might be. Thanks.

The mce happened during processor initialization and certain combinations of hardware cause this.  Nothing to worry about and can safely ignored.

But this can't be ignored. You need to figure out why the server rebooted.

Do you have an UPS?

Yes I have a UPS, and my Synology is set up as the network UPS server. None of my other devices had any power issues at the same time. Maybe it's time to swap in a new power supply?

Glad to hear the MCE isn't a major concern, though I had figured the two events may be related.
