July 30, 20214 yr This just started happening 2 days ago. No major changes, just a lot of access setting up a Roon server (on a different machine) so there has been lots of read access. It starts back up in regular mode (as opposed to safe mode) I have no idea where to look for the issue. Log and diagnostics attached. Any help appreciated. I (finally) replaced the drive with the errors and all issues have been resolved, I have not had any problems now for 30+ day. nas-diagnostics-20210729-2215.zip nas-syslog-20210730-0516.zip Edited September 24, 20214 yr by denzo Solved
July 30, 20214 yr You may need to set up your syslog archiving to the flash disk. This only shows log since the last reboot.
August 1, 20214 yr Community Expert The diagnostics you ported earlier had this in the SMART report for disk6 197 Current_Pending_Sector -O---K 100 100 000 - 12600 so I would say that disk is very sick and needs to be replaced. The syslog also backs this up with lots of errors being reported for that drive.

Looking at the report it says "Error 161 [0] occurred at disk power-on lifetime: 36091 hours (1503 days + 19 hours)" .... this drive was purchased new by me in December 2020, how could it have so many hours on it, any ideas?
