Question about running UnRaid for NAS, Plex inside a VM, and having Plex transcode to a ram drive in the VM

Featured Replies

I think I'll be fine with my setup, but I wasn't sure how UnRaid would handle having Plex running on a Widows 10 VM with an 8gb RAM drive for transcoding set up within Windows. Is it the same process as I normally would running Windows on a pc, or is it not possible in UnRaid?

Why not just run a plex docker?

I already have a Plex server I've been running in my Windows system for years and I don't want to mess with migrating it from one platform to another. I've read you really can't move from Windows to Linux easily.
