Gigabyte x570 Auros master temp/fan sensor missing

Featured Replies

gd day all.

i am trying to get the dynamix system temp plugin to report all sensors in my unraid setup.

but no matter what i do it still excludes the IT8688 sensor containing most of the important sensors.

Nerdpack + perl installed

Dynamix system temp plugin installed autodetects the IT87 + K10 temp driver.

Terminal: sensors-detect shows

Found unknown chip with ID 0x8688

i have add in the Syslinux Config -> Unraid OS "acpi_enforce_resources=lax"

and in the /boot/config/go modprobe it87 force_id=0x8628

as per below instructions but without any results

is there any way to include the It8688 sensor, patched it87 driver, modify lm-sensor  config??

at the moment i am at uncharted waters, spent hours looking for some kind of guidance.

some more info.

""Further work ...

The 8688 can be made to work using the --force_id=0x8688 flag when inserting the module but this will also identify the 8792E as an 8688 leaving you with two chips with the same name which is confusing.

To get the IT8688E working with the IT8792E sensor chips and correctly identified first edit the it87.c file replacing all instances of "8686" with "8688" as the chips appear to be identical then make the module.""

""This should work: just paste it into a file in /etc/sensors.d"
