Any reason you want Rtorrent?

 

There is a nice add on to unMenu for transmission.

already tried installing transmission via unmenu with no success. I tried everything possible to access the webui and get 403 Forbidden every time.

Then post in the Transmission thread and we will try and figure out what is going on.

 

I created the package, with the help of Joe L., and it works fine for me on a clean install.  There does appear to be a problem with installing over the top of a previous transmission install.

 

Also, make sure your browser is not caching the page.  Hold shift and reload the page a couple of times to get everything clear out and also clear your browsers cache.

 

Transmission seems to be more heavily developed right now and is a pretty lightweight install.

i would say do transmission via unmenu. I"m a noob and its very very easy to install. did you open the port for transmission. I had that problem once

ok this is getting ridiculous I have installed and uninstalled a few times and made sure to delete old files before reinstalling and still nothing. I have upnp enabled on my router and have tried manually forwarding port 9091 for my server and still nothing. All I get is unauthorized ip address when ever I try to access transmission, I have checked all editable settings and everything is good. I have my server on a gigabit switch if that makes a difference. I dont know what else to do I'm stuck.

have you looked in the Customization forum for the Transmission thread?

 

I put a new package up there that has not been included in unMenu as of yet.  It should solve the issues you are seeing.
