HDD assigned to Parity got a thumbs down today, is it still safe? HDD so expensive now, would like to delay replacement

Whenever possible, I'd like to put off that replacement for another time, since HDDs are so expensive now.

Personally I wouldn't hold off.  2600+ reallocated sectors is way above my comfort level.  With that many already, there's a very good chance that they're just going to continue to snowball

Ok, can i first acknowledge it, and see it increases some more? In the meantime, I will be looking to buy HDD already.

Besides, doesn't that drive come with a 5 year warranty?  The power on hours indicates that it's only been on for just over 2 years

I tried to check with Seagate online, it somehow says cannot be honored due to purchase by certain entity?

In general, if the Number of Reallocated Logical Sectors is under 500, should we start replacing?  If it isn't increasing that is.

In general, any reallocated sectors indicates problems with the disk. Your level of risk tolerance is the only deciding factor, personally for me - 1 is enough to RMA.
