[SOLVED]User Shares Corrupt?

Featured Replies

Hello,

After a bad powerdown, my user shares are not showing up.

When I look in the unraid menu, I don't see the shares anymore.  I still see the directories when I look inside specific drives.  I can also see the configuration files within /boot/config/shares and they look fine.

I do incremental backups of my USB drive, so I am able to recover files if I need to, but I am unsure as to which files I should recover or where to look from here.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have attached the latest syslog, but nothing seems off from what I can tell.

Cheers!

I think if you stop the array and then re-start it all will be as expected.

When you first re-booted many of the file systems were not available foe several minutes as the transactions in them were replayed.

Mar 23 06:35:05 Huricane kernel: REISERFS (device md3): replayed 556 transactions in 115 seconds

Mar 23 06:35:05 Huricane kernel: REISERFS (device md3): Using r5 hash to sort names

Mar 23 06:35:28 Huricane kernel: REISERFS (device md2): replayed 578 transactions in 138 seconds

Mar 23 06:35:28 Huricane kernel: REISERFS (device md2): Using r5 hash to sort names

Mar 23 06:35:49 Huricane kernel: REISERFS (device md1): replayed 777 transactions in 159 seconds

Mar 23 06:35:50 Huricane kernel: REISERFS (device md1): Using r5 hash to sort names

That did the trick!

Thanks Joe for the fast reply.

Gotta love this community.

BTW, what would cause the FS to be unavailable like that?  Could it be just 1 drive causing the issue or the actual controller?

The bad (unclean) powerdown is what caused the issue to happen.
