[SOLVED] UNRAID USB not recognised as a bootable USB. Ubuntu live-CD works fine

Featured Replies

Hello guys!

I've had my UNRAID server up and running for quite some time now in an IBM X3550 M4.

I now need to transfer my setup to a HP Z600 workstation.

When I insert the UNRAID USB it is not recognised by the BIOS/system as a bootable device, although

the USB-stick can be seen by the system.

I am able to load a Ubuntu live-USB without any problems with a different USB, so I do not think it has anything to do

with the BIOS setting or similar.

Ive tried creating a new UNRAID USB as well but that has not given results.

Any advice on what I can try would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

EDIT: Apparantly I made the post too soon. I plugged my old USB into a different computer and re-ran the "make bootable" script.

I also updated the BIOS to a newer version and it booted without problems now.
