announcing itself as a local master browser for workgroup

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have two UNRAID servers, and I always see the log from each other that:

"

process_local_master_announce: Server TOWER-xxx at IP xxx is announcing itself as a local master browser for workgroup WORKGROUP and we think we are master. Forcing election.

. "

How can I disable this?

thanks!

Where (File name) did you find this?

And why don't you want one of your Unraid servers to become the Local Master?    (Having one of your servers always being the Local Master minimizes SMB problems!)

With that out of the way--   Settings    >>>>    SMB     >>>>     Workgroup Settings            'Local master:'    Setting

Set it to No under Settings -> SMB.   Which device do you WANT to be the Local Master?
