Built in FTP

Featured Replies

I read that version 4.7 (the one I'm using) has a simple built in FTP daemon/server. How do or would I access this program? Like user mangement or changing the port, etc....

Would it be more wise to install a different one? Would be nice if it is a web based type setup. Thanks!

Michael

These is one installed, vsftpd, but is not setup and you will have to do that yourself.  Do some searching here on the forum and on google for instructions on doing so.

I was able to connect but don't see any files listed or my user shares. I've read in some older posts other people have had this problem and will be corrected in the V5 of unraid? Is something blocking me from seeing the files or shares?

I left the conf file default for now.

I tried everything I could and find to get the files to show up in my shares, but nothing seems to work. I've gotten FTP daemons to work before easily on a linux system but for some reason this one seems to baffle me.
