September 1, 20214 yr Interesting to consider the IBM study that says that for every 256MB there is one bitflip a month. If I simply extrapolate to my server RAM, that's more that 8/day. It's probably more complicated than just a few multiplications as data density and manufacturing processes reach smaller transistor sizes. But still probably a sensitive matter. Same thing for SSDs and HDDs I guess.
