[solved] Errors after power failure

Featured Replies

Came home today to see the server has rebooted  Either an power failure or a neigbour messing with the wrong electricity.

either way the result is the the same. The server is now doing an parity check ( 50% already found 1 sync error)

and there are a bunch of errors in the syslog.

do any need special treatment?

syslog attached

thanks in advance

i'm not sure where the reported sync error was. there where no errors reported in the column for errors on the unraid web interface.

logics would say it was on the cache drive since it was the only active drive (torrenting).

I was unable to unmount the cache drive and had to do an unclean shutdown to restart. it reports a number of reiserfs errors.

the most files seems to be ok the all passed the filecheck from transmission. some files get stuck

what would be best practice to fix/check the drive?

thanks

a small note, odd this "power failure" happens the day I order an UPS.

thanks a lot i will check it immediately

update:

need to rebuild the tree.

update:

it seems everything went well, after reading i was a little scared all files would end up  mixed  up in "lost and found" but everything was still at the right location

another thing learned,

Cheers!
