New Git package and update AirVideo package for unMENU.

Featured Replies

To allow more recent version of Git to be installed and not clash with the old version that AirVideo currently installs, I've created a new Git package and updated the AirVideo package to check for (and install if present) this Git package instead of the older version.

Cheers.

EDIT 1: Updated archive URLs to use slakware-13.1 instead of slakware-current, so they don't disappear on us.

EDIT 2: Updated git version string.

First...  Thanks.  I really appreciate you keeping this up to date.  I know a lot of unRAID users appreciate your efforts too.

A small critique, from what I've learned over the past few years...

Any links referencing specific slackware packages from "slackware-current" are guaranteed to go out of date when "current" evolves to the next slackware release.  For that reason I never use the "slackware-current" tree from a package site any more. (I had originally, until I learned they often became invalid as "current" evolved.)

If possible, try to use links to packages in the most current numbered version tree (slackware-13.1) if it has the appropriate version needed.

Thanks for the tip. I wasn't tracking this thread so I didn't see your reply until now, when I updated the packages for this very reason after a tip in the other thread :)

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask for help with this, but I've been struggling with this for a couple weeks now.

I'm running 5.0-beta6a with a Plus key.

I have downloaded these .conf packages and tried to install them. git installs fine, but I am unable to install the airvideoserver.

Thank you in advance for any guidance you can provide.

Experiencing the same issue as Zinoy. FFMPEG compiling fails with the following out (spouting about vp8.mak). I have tried with the updated AirVideo (alpha 6) and updated FFMPEG from AVS folks but still issue persists. I also updated the x264 to latest package i could find but still no luck.
