Machine Check Events detected on your server

Featured Replies

Hi, hoping someone can help. I received this error today:

"Your server has detected hardware errors. You should install mcelog via the NerdPack plugin, post your diagnostics and ask for assistance on the unRaid forums. The output of mcelog (if installed) has been logged"

I have installed mcelog and run diagnostics. Is it safe for me to post the whole zip file up here to be looked at?

Looking at my syslog I'm getting this error a lot, no idea when it started

Yes and attach it, don't post a link to an external site.

Fix Common Problems hasn't run again since you installed mcelog, but it's not particularly necessary in this case.

(Very) Bad Memory,  Replace it.  Once the ECC can no longer correct the errors, your BIOS will most likely simple halt the entire system out of the blue without any warning or notification.

OK thank you.

Is there any indication of what slots may be faulty? There's 8 sticks of 4gb on there.

Otherwise I'll just start pulling sticks and see if it fixes

I don't have a GPU in this server at the moment.

I've pulled 2 sticks and so far no errors, I'll see how it goes.

Many thanks all

It says :
