Hi Guys 

 

When I click format on the 900GB drive (Unnassigned Section) it disappears and I have to restart for it to come back.

 

Any ideas

Please post the diagnostics.

Controller is failing to initialize the device, if you have one try with a HBA instead, ideally an LSI.

Note that this can also be a device problem, you should also test with another device if available.
