Foxconn A7DA-S 3.0, does it work with unRAID? (2xPCIeX16)

Featured Replies

This board has a nice list of specs, but it has a Broadcom NIC so I don't know if it will work with unRAID. It's also on sale at Newegg for $70 shipped now. This is the cheapest AM3+DDR3+6xSATA+Onboard video that I could find. If you found another, please let me know.

This is open box and it is even better as it has a triple PCIe x 16 connectors (one x16, one x8 and one x4)

Thanks for looking out, but I'm not a fan of open box items. After all, they were returned to Newegg for a reason, and I don't want to find out that reason the hard way.

Can anyone please confirm if the Broadcom chip will work with unRAID and if everything else looks good.

Grab this too, it's 66MHz PCI and based off the Realtek 8111, so good Linux supported Gigabit NIC with Jumbo Frame support.

If the Broadcom doesn't work out, disable onboard then slap that NIC in there (which shouldn't give you issues).

If the onboard NIC doesn't work with unRAID I'll probably just return it. I'll start a new thread once I get all the parts for this.

AFAIK, the only NIC chips the don't work are Atheros.

I hope you're right. I'll let everyone know in either case :)

The SATA ports were in an unusable spot for my case, and most cases except for something like a Norco server case. I sent it back for the Jetway 2xPCIe x16.
