Second opinion on drives status

Featured Replies

Guys, a user on the french subforum has questions on some drives. I think the drives are not to be trusted but I'd like to have a second set on eyes on this.

The issues are on disk5 and parity. The SMART tests Completed without error but I see attributes that seem too high for comfort.

On parity I see a lot of

187 Reported_Uncorrect -O--CK 001 001 000 - 2352

and on disk5 (WD drive) I see

  1 Raw_Read_Error_Rate POSR-K 200 200 051 - 26
 197 Current_Pending_Sector -O--CK 200 200 000 - 1
198 Offline_Uncorrectable ----CK 200 200 000 - 1

What do you think about it ?

WD should be fine as long as raw read error rate doesn't keep climbing, user should monitor that attribute, pending sector is a false positive since SMART test passed, Seagate is more difficult to say, that attribute it too high for my liking, disk should be OK for now but I would replace it when possible.
