September 23, 20214 yr Hello everyone, a few weeks ago my server started to freeze from time to time. It happens again about an hour ago. The system keeps running but I can't log into the GUI or even ping the system. Only chance to get the server up and response again is a hard shutdown with the power button. It happens on different times and on all kinds of different loads. I run a couple of dockers and one Win10 VM. Is it possible to get any logs after a hard shutdown? At the moment the server is still running so I could try "something" you suggest. I really have no idea what could be the problem. Maybe the RAM, the mainboard or the power supply. Thanks a lot

September 28, 20214 yr Author Hello everyone, so within the last 4 hours my server freezed / crashed again. The only thing the server was doing at this time was to upload backup files to my OneDrive cloud using the duplicacy docker. Maybe the attached logs can help. Thanks unraid-diagnostics-20210928-2252.zip syslog
September 29, 20214 yr Community Expert Unfortunately there's nothing relevant logged before the crash, this usually points to a hardware problem.
September 29, 20214 yr Author too bad, thanks anyway. I swapped the power supply a while ago, maybe I swap it again to check. Also gonna check the RAM with some testing tools
November 28, 20214 yr Author I am still getting randam freezes. Could it even be the unraid USB stick? Maybe I shoud change it....
November 28, 20214 yr Even if the stick was bad, while there would be abnormalities it wouldn't cause the system to lock up. Try it without the VM.
November 29, 20214 yr Do you have the i915 module loaded? I am having the same issue with 6.9.x. Only fix is either to unload the i915 module or roll back to 6.8.3. For some the 6.10-RC2 might fix the issue but I haven't tested this personally yet. Edited November 29, 20214 yr by Tristankin
