I have a unRaid setup (2 1.5to and a 2to for parity, All are EADS Western Green with a jumper and aligned to 63k sector) running for some month the 4.5.6 version of Unraid without any problem.

 

But since I'm a little low on storage space, I want to purchase a Plus license, but now there's the 4.7 Version. So I have just upgrade the bzimage, bzroot and memtest file on the usb drive. Everything works fine until I try to watch a movie... The streaming is a bit tricky, there's a lot of "slowdown" for the video, but the sound is ok. I have try different video, that I have already watch without problems with the 4.5.6 version. And the crappy video streaming is still there.

 

For the moment I replace all the 3 4.7 file for the old 4.5.6 backup version I done. Didn't try to watch a video for the moment.

Western Digital Caviar Green S-ATA - 2000 Go - 64 Mo (parity)

Western Digital Caviar Green S-ATA - 1500 Go - 64 Mo x2 (data)

 

 

I know that the Asus mobo got a problem with the onboard LAN card so I have change it for a D-link 100Mb.

 

I will upgrade soon my network card for a 1000Mb but I don't think that the problem is from that because all was fine with the 4.5.6 

 

Any clue ?

It could be that the drivers in 4.7 do not like the d-link NIC or have less tolerance for it.

I know for sure its not your processor since I have the very same running on 4.7 just fine.

I will go buying a D-Link DGE-528T Gigabit Ethernet (from v4.1)  (like in the wiki). And tell you if I still got that annoying problem or not.

EDIT : I have bought a 528T and it seems that those annoying slowdown are no longer here. So my old Dlink 530TX rev-C1 not work correctly with unraid 4.7.
