March 31, 201115 yr Hi, I want to build a unraid-Server out of a small homeserver (fujitsu mx130). Unfortunately it only holds 2 drives. I have a bunch of external USB-Drives from 750 to 2.000 GB (my "old" storage). Is it possible to mount them and use them as drives for unraid?

Unfortunately, no, unRAID will not let you assign USB drives to the protected array. Joe L.
June 23, 201115 yr The USB drives will probably just be normal SATA drives in an enclosure. Try carefully removing them and use them as internal SATA drives. That's what I'm going to have to do with some of mine when I build my unRAID server.
