September 28, 20214 yr I have an aoc-sas2lp-h8ir RAID card on a Supermicro 2U 12 Bay LFF Server X9DRi-F server, but it appears that the card does not support IT mode. So, first, can someone confirm that I can't use this card to passthrough the hard drives to the OS? Second, if not, can someone can recommend a RAID card with support for IT Mode I might be able to get on ebay for cheap?
September 28, 20214 yr Can't say about this card personally but I am sure that others will know it. In the meantime, you can look at this :
September 28, 20214 yr Passthrough device was make it out of hypervisor layer, not relate it is a RAID adapter or HBA (IT). You just need check the iommu group don't conflict with other non passthrough device. Edited September 28, 20214 yr by Vr2Io
