Hello unRAID forums,

 

I'm running a home server with unRAID.
But I got a EMC KTN-STL3 from a friend, for 500 DKK (less than $80/80€) with 3 x 15 TB disks in it. I don't know if they're all working or not, but that's besides this post.


Right now I'm using a IBM ServeRAID M1015 as HBA, but since my MB is Asus Prime B450-Plus it only has 2 full PCIE slots, and the second one is used as by a GPU.


So what I've found out so far, is that I either need a new MB with more PCIE slots with a second HBA, or a bigger HBA.
But what is smartest/cheapest to do, and I can't quite figure out if it's even worth it.

 

Any input on this that could help me decide on what to do, or maybe even a completely different option?
