Dougy Posted April 2, 2011 Share Posted April 2, 2011 i set up my unraid server a month or so ago and have been happily watching video in mce/media browser ever since. Today I reconfigured media player to see my music library on the unraid share. unfortunately its not playing very well, ever few minutes it is pausing and sometimes says the network location is unavailable. I have made sure the drives are not spinning down. like I said, video streams fine so I'm at a loss... Link to comment

Dougy Posted April 5, 2011 Author Share Posted April 5, 2011 ok.. this is getting frustrating. the only way I can get media player to refresh the library to show newly added files is by doing a complete restart of windows... is this a samba issue? please help! Link to comment

Probably need to do some looking into Windows MCE issues. I have a music library on my unRAID server that goes through iTunes and I don't have a problem viewing the content over SMB. Link to comment
