[SOLVED] P2V Nvme - Ubuntu

Featured Replies

Hi,

i'd like to migrate my home server to Unraid, now it's an ubuntu server with a lots of container.

As i don't want to migrate everything at one time, the idea was to do a p2v of the ubuntu drive, and move containers from the VM to unraid one by one when i have time.

I followed the documentation from

https://wiki.unraid.net/index.php/UnRAID_Manual_6#Physical_to_Virtual_Machine_Conversion_Process

But when i start the vm it doesn't seems to see the drive / or boot partition, as i have a "no boot devices detected" on screen

Is there any specifics thing for image coming from an nvme i have to do?

Is there a way to check the seaBios parameter? (something like boot to bios in ESXI)

Thank you!

I switched the BIOS from SeaBios to OVMF and now it's booting.
