Connect unRaid and VMs to different VLANs

Featured Replies

I use the Unifi UDM Pro gateway and their managed switches. I have multiple VLANs setup. Main (untagged), IoT (vlan 20), Guest (vlan 10) etc.

The profile of the Switch Port that is connected to the unRaid Server can pass both Main and IoT.

It looks like the unRaid server connected to the Main network. I have installed a Home Assistant VM and it too is connected to the Main Network.

How to make the Home Assistant VM connect to the IoT network so that it can see all my IoT devices? But the unRaid server should be in the Main network.

...enable VLANs in the unraid network settings and configure them accordingly.

After that you will have a custom bridge for each VLAN ID, like br0 (your main network, unraid itself), br0.10 and br0.20...use the respective bridge, when attaching VMs or Docker.
