October 20, 20214 yr Ok I just had a drive go with the red X and it's about 6 months old. Can someone look at my log to see why it in an error state? I assume to replace it and rebuild the drive? October 20, 20214 yr Community Expert Could not see anything obviously wrong with the disk. You could try running an extended SMART test on the drive as a check. External factors such a cabling are far more common reasons for a drive to be disabled than the drive actually failing.
October 20, 20214 yr Author Ok. Thanks. Should I put the drive in a new slot and then rebuild that disk? or go a different route?
